India grieves Manohar Parrikar's passing: President Kovind, PM Modi, Rahul Gandhi, Amitabh Bachan pay tributes

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar is no more. Head administrator Narendra Modi, President Kovind and a large group of other political pioneers lead tributes for the much adored Parrikar.

Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, who had been experiencing pancreatic malignancy for over a year, kicked the bucket on Sunday. He was 63.

President Ram Nath Kovind was the first to pay his sympathies. He stated, Manohar Parrikar's "devotion in open life, his support of the general population of Goa and of India won't be overlooked".

"Very sorry to learn of the death of Shri Manohar Parrikar, Chief Minister of Goa, after a sickness borne with strength and nobility. An encapsulation of honesty and commitment in open life, his support of the general population of Goa and of India won't be overlooked. #PresidentKovind," Rashtrapati Bhavan's legitimate Twitter account tweeted.

Head administrator Narendra Modi called Manohar Parrikar an "unparalleled pioneer" and a "genuine loyalist".

Shri Manohar Parrikar was an unparalleled leader.

A true patriot and exceptional administrator, he was admired by all. His impeccable service to the nation will be remembered by generations.

br /> Congress president Rahul Gandhi likewise took to Twitter to offer his sympathies and called Manohar Parrikar as "one of Goa's most loved children".

"I am profoundly disheartened by the news of the death of Goa CM, Shri Manohar Parrikar Ji, who intrepidly fought a crippling sickness for over a year. Regarded and appreciated crosswise over partisan loyalties, he was one of Goa's most loved children. My sympathies to his family in this season of despondency," Rahul Gandhi tweeted.
